The European Talent Cup round in Estoril, Portugal last weekend saw the rise of one Hakim Danish, a young Malaysian rider who scored his first-ever podium. Held under the FIM JuniorGP World Championship series, Hakim Danish entered the European Talent Cup category under SIC Racing, and it is safe to say that he has the talent to go far. Really far.

In Race 1, his debut was already considered explosive as he completed the 16-lap race in P5, a close fight between those who finished from P2. It was in Race 2 that the 15-year-old Malaysian found his rhythm and fought tooth and nail to finish the race in second place. Again, a close fight between the top four race finishers.

According to Hakim, “In Race 1, I started in P10 and finished the race in P5. I am happy with my performance just now. For me, Race 1 was tiring because I was fighting hard to control my bike against other fast riders. This is a valuable experience to be competing in Europe. After finishing Race 1, the team made some improvements on the bike for Race 2.”

“In Race 2, I started in P12 and finished the race in P2. I am really happy with Race 2 because this is my first time being on the European Talent Cup podium. The feeling of the bike is better than Race 1 all thanks to my team. I would like to say thank you to my team Monlau, and my sponsors SIC Racing, ZK Racing, my family, and everyone who supported me,” added Hakim.
