Earlier this year, Didi Automotive Sdn Bhd announced that they’ll be taking over the Royal Enfield distributorship for the Malaysian market. Last weekend, they launched the new flagship store for this iconic brand located at The Gasket Alley in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
To mark this momentous occasion, they’ve brought in two new models – the 2022 Royal Enfield Classic 350 and the Royal Enfield Meteor 350. These two models should be the perfect kickstarters for the brand’s presence here in the country as they cater to two very distinct groups of riders.
The Classic 350 offers a more classic yet timeless motorcycle paired with some modern ‘aspirations’ such as its 350cc air/oil-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces 20.2hp at 6,150rpm and 27Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. Paired with a five-speed manual gearbox, the Classic 350’s price starts from RM23,500 (excluding insurance, road tax, and registration).
If you’re looking for something a bit more modern that’s meant to cruise, the Meteor 350 should be your go-to and it comes in three different variants – Fireball, Stellar, and Supernova. It carries the same engine as the Classic 350, and prices start from RM24,300 (excluding insurance, road tax, and registration).
There is also the very formidable Royal Enfield Himalayan adventure bike that is priced from RM29,500. If you want the good stuff, look no further than the Royal Enfield 650 duo – the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT. Pricing? From RM29,500 and RM33,100 respectively. Not bad, kan?
