Rea Sets The Quickest Time at Jerez Private Testing Day One

Jonathan Rea sets the fastest time at day one of private testing at Jerez setting a and competitive 1’41.327 on his KRT ZX-10R. Alex Lowes managed to lap only 12 thousands of a second slower on his Crescent Suzuki. Both Rea and Lowes completed 87 and 84 laps respectively.

Reaching the peak of 17°C, the dry weather gave an opportunity to all riders to make up their time lost in the previous tests. The only crash is by Sylvain Guintoli with Pata Honda World Superbike, where he crashed out on his third flying lap while Leon Haslam who is with Red Devils Aprillia was forced out due to technical issues with his RSV4.

Tom Sykes from Kawasaki Racing Team proved to be in superb form by ending up third fastest ahead of both Ducati duo Davide Giugliano and Chaz Davies.
