Hong Leong Yamaha Motor has launched a limited edition model for its very popular Yamaha Y16ZR called the Yamaha Y16ZR World GP 60th Anniversary Edition. How limited, you ask? Only 5,000 units will be produced for the local market.
This special Y16ZR model carries the iconic red and white livery together with gold coloured rims as well as a special 60th anniversary emblem to commemorate the brand’s 60 years of racing history. Each limited edition model also comes with a set of World GP 60th Anniversary premium box set that contains a tumbler, pin, and keychain.
Performance-wise, the limited edition model comes with the same 155cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled SOHC engine with VVA tech that produces 17.7hp @ 9,000rpm and 14.4Nm of torque @ 8,000rpm. It also comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox and assist/slipper clutch.
Price starts at RM11,688 and that is excluding registration fees and insurance coverage. Owners will also get a Yamaha safety disc lock worth RM100 for every purchase.
