Another breaking news took place in the internet today clearing the air. The news of Jorge Lorenzo signed a Ducati deal has left many guessing who will take his place alongside Valentino Rossi in Yamaha. The only clear candidate I think would be Maverick Vinales of Suzuki. However, over the last 2 weeks, some claimed Dani Pedrosa will move from Honda to Yamaha which we think it is impossible.

Today, we learned that Maverick Vinales has travelled to Italy yesterday to sign the contract which will see him riding alongside Yamaha number one rider Valentino Rossi in 2017 and 2018. The 21 years old Spaniard is the rising star of MotoGp, who won the 2015 MotoGP rookie award. It is clear Yamaha is making a move that has secure their current and long term future in MotoGP.

The official announcement is expected to be made coming Thursday at Mugello’s press conference.
