KTM Malaysia has brought in the latest “Thrill Chaser”, the KTM 250 Duke updated for 2022. This 250cc naked ‘streetfighter’ still carries that signature look and performance, but now comes with some minor updates and upgrades.
The biggest changes for the 2022 KTM 250 Duke can be seen in its new full-LED headlamp design with daytime-running light (DRL). It’s a nice fit for its other features such as the fully-digital LCD panel and a new two-part seat for better riding position and comfort.
Chassis-wise, the 2022 KTM 250 Duke comes ready with a split steel trellis frame to provide improved feedback and handling. The suspension package consists of a set of WP Apex USD front forks and rear monoshock with damping rates taken directly from the KTM 390 Duke for better overall riding.
The brakes have also been updated with a radial Bybre four-piston caliper mounted to a 320mm disc (plus Bosch M9.1 ABS as standard). Its wheels are wrapped with Metzeler Sportect M5 rubber for better grip and riding performance.
Power is delivered via a 249cc single-cylinder DOHC engine that produces 30hp @ 9,000rpm and 25Nm of torque @ 7,500rpm. Durability and fuel efficiency are increased with carbon-coated cam followers, Power Assisted Slipper Clutch (PASC) plus an updated fuel injection system.
The 2022 KTM 250 Duke is priced at RM21,500 (price tag without insurance, road tax, and registration). Future owners can choose between Dark Galvano with orange graphics and wheels, or Metallic Silver with black graphics and wheels.
